Curriculum Highlights
Contemporary Political Philosophy
Survey the arguments behind modern politics: justice, power, and community. From Schmitt and Arendt to the liberal-communitarian debate, you’ll learn to read closely, argue clearly, and apply classic ideas to current problems.
Philosophy, politics and Economics of AI
Examine artificial intelligence from interconnected political, philosophical, and economic perspectives. You will develop understanding of AI's societal impact and gain practical experience with AI tools and governance challenges.
Learn the principles of geopolitics to understand how the world works. Why can Americans afford to ignore geography while Europeans cannot? What determines the perception of threats, can enemies become friends or does the state only have interests? When and why do states completely change their foreign orientation? We may not always be in a position to change the future, but we can prepare for it.
Geopolitics & World Order
Get acquainted with international trade, international financial flows, and globalization of economic activities. Learn applied and institutional aspects of global economic activities via case studies of interesting successes/failures while retaining empirical and analytical rigor of modern economics.
Economics of Global Business
Global Politics of Development and Environment
Explore Development studies and Global Environmental Politics to understand the current global regime of climate change. Unpack development-environment nexus, addressing the pending question how it is possible to develop sustainably, that is, to ‘meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs’.
"PPE in Prague follows the Oxford-style tradition: close discussion, analytic rigor, and the freedom to shape your path across politics, philosophy and economics. We teach you to connect ideas and act on them: in policy, business, NGOs, or further study."
— Dr. Janusz Salamon, Academic Director of PPE Prague
