    ELENE KOBAKHIDZE

Hello, my name is Elene, and I'm from Georgia. I am interested in diplomacy and the Eastern European region. Therefore, I am currently pursuing a Master's in International Security with concentrations in Diplomacy and European Studies at Sciences Po, Paris. I completed my BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) at Charles University. In my daily academic life, I am constantly reminded of how much PPE truly contributed to developing my capabilities and equipping me with a well-rounded, impressive academic background. The multiple disciplines offered by PPE allow me to analyze issues from several different perspectives, which contributes to success in academically competitive spaces. Although Paris is nothing short of amazing, I will always cherish the moments I spent in Prague. From the people (professors and students) I met throughout my three years at Charles University to all of the experiences that I was lucky enough to have, Prague is undoubtedly a great place to be for someone just starting to pave their future path!

    NORA WRENGER

Hello, my name is Nora and I am from Germany. Currently, I am pursuing my Master's degree in Political Theory at LSE. During my studies at Charles University, where I graduated in 2022 with a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE), I found my passion in Philosophy and Politics. In particular, the course "Justice in Politics and International Relations" left a lasting impression and influenced my decision to specialise in Political Theory at LSE. The academic depth of the programme and the thought-provoking discussions during my PPE studies, as well as the research period for my BA thesis have provided me with a solid foundation that is proving invaluable in navigating the complexities of Political Theory. As I advance in my Master's degree, I'm driven by the ambition to delve deeper into the subject and have set my sights on pursuing a Ph.D. in Political Philosophy. I'm thankful for the transformative experiences and the intellectually stimulating atmosphere at Charles University, which continue to shape my intellectual journey and propel me towards a future where I can actively contribute to addressing the multifaceted challenges our world faces.

    MATYÁŠ HOLUB

Heya, I’m Matyáš, a Czech student of Master’s in Political Economy at King’s College London and a graduate of PPE at Charles University. PPE with its interdisciplinary nature studied at one of world's olderst universities in Prague's heart have been instrumental to all facets of my life, ranging from developing my interests in Political Philosophy to working in Diplomacy for the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As the founder and first President of the PPE Society, I consider it something that makes our programme truly unique; the Society is a place that allows you to socialise, grow and learn through its multifaceted nature, be it journalistic or debate projects, discussion panels with thought leaders or yearly cabin trips away from Prague to name a few. The program gives students understanding of how the world around us operates on many crucial levels, and its academic staff provide close mentorship that helps shape students into strong and unique individuals.

    CONSTANTIN ZEITHAMMER

Hello, I’m Constantin from Germany. I hold a Bachelor's double degree from Charles University and the University of Bayreuth in PPE. While studying Philosophy and Economics, I was eager to complement my undergraduate studies with in-depth knowledge in Political Science. The P&E/PPE Double Degree effectively integrates these three disciplines, which I now view as inseparable from each other. Given my interest in understanding the close connection between global politics and economics, I am currently pursuing a Master's in International Business and Politics at Copenhagen Business School. My specialisation focuses on International Political Economy and the Governance of Risk in the World Economy. The Double Degree with Bayreuth and Charles University equipped me with essential analytical tools. Studying PPE in Prague is academically challenging but very enriching, particularly due to the international student community and close exchange with professors. I highly recommend studying PPE at Charles University in Prague to those who enjoy challenging themselves across disciplinary borders.

    ALI GULALIYEV

Hi, I am Ali from Azerbaijan, currently studying Master’s in Global Leadership and Development Studies at King's College London. Choosing the PPE programme at Charles University was one of the best decisions I've made. It was a perfect match with my enthusiasm to learn about politics, and offering a critical approach to politics from a philosophical and economic point of view. The fun fact about Charles University is professors' appreciation of the different views, cultures and presence of students from different continents/countries. While I built an interest in Development Studies, my classmates followed the path majoring in Economics, International Relations, Humanitarian studies and more. PPE has more to offer finding out your own studying/working journey. Don't miss it!

    VICTOR HERETH

I am Victor from Germany. The Double Degree between the University of Bayreuth and Charles University in Prague was a formative experience. By learning broad and core concepts of as well as gaining detailed insights in all three subjects of Philosophy, Politics and Economics, I felt extraordinary prepaired for my further studies. As Politics in particular is the field I am mostly interested in, I chose to continue studying in a masters program of Political Science at the University of Vienna in October 2023. Therefore, the covered contents of politics at the Charles University helped me a lot when it comes to Eastern-European history, conflicts and policies, which are focused by my masters in Vienna now. In the future I am either planing to work in NGO´s or institutions, which have a focus on Eastern-Europe or as a journalist with political focus. I thank the Charles University for its fine teaching and the tremendous support and care when I first came to Prague.

The implicit promise of the PPE study programme at Charles University to the students applying to it is that for those filled with boundless ambition and stamina for hard work, our programme will prepare you to apply to the most prestigious universities in the US, the UK, Western Europe and elsewhere. The unique genius of PPE is also the ability to prepare students for diverse Master's degrees, in politics and international relations, economics and business, and other academic disciplines in social sciences and humanities which open the path to a range of professional careers. We are grateful to our Prague PPE graduates pursuing Master's programs at prestigious universities for their testimonies published on this webpage.
